Introduction

The present Minden Medical Centre was purpose built in 1992, opening on the 8th March and was officially opened by HRH The Duchess of Gloucester 19th June 1993.

There are thirteen GPs based at Minden in three different practices. They see their own patients in modern well-equipped surroundings.

The practices work closely and well together. As a group of doctors they have one practice manager and employ 18 receptionist, 1 counsellor,  2 secretaries , 1 finance assistant, 1 computer manager, 1 IT supervisor and 3 maintenance staff.  Minden also houses staff from the community unit of Bury Primary Care NHS Trust such as Health Visitors who work with particular GPs within Minden.

In addition there are a number of staff who see patients at Minden ranging from midwives, dieticians, drug liaison workers and community psychiatric nurses.

This website covers all three practices at Minden, and most of the information applies to all the practices. But each practice also has its own separate section of the site for matters which are specific to each practice (e.g. prescription ordering).
